About Dr. FarriorOur StaffOur CenterProceduresSkin Care ProceduresAbout Dr. Farrior

Dr. Farrior is a sixth-generation physician and surgeon. Dr. Richard Farrior, his father, recently retired from practicing facial plastic surgery in Tampa. Dr. Edward Farrior has been in practice since 1987 and founded the Farrior Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center in 1995. He has continued to refine his knowledge and skills through teaching and his association with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and the American Board of Facial and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Farrior is actively involved in the Spring of Tampa Bay, a local shelter for abused women and children. He has been actively involved in the organization since 1993 and on the Board of Directors since 1998. Dr. Farrior volunteers his time and skills to the Face to Face Organization, which gives severely abused women the opportunity to apply for free reconstructive surgery for their deformities. Helping women to regain their confidence in themselves through erasing the scars of abuse and erasing the past.

Dr. Farrior Best Doctor's 2006 Best Doctor's 2005 Best Doctor's 2003

In January 2000, Dr. Farrior was awarded the Physician Humanitarian Award for his long time contributions to the community, presented by the Florida Medical Business Healthcare Awards. In 2002, he was awarded the Community Service Award by his peers at AAFPRS. This is presented to the member who has distinguished himself by providing free medical service to those in need in the community. Giving back to the community and helping others has been a personal success for Dr. Farrior.

Due to the constant integration of new technologies, as well as the proven, time-tested techniques, Dr. Farrior believes that teaching is critical to remain current in all aspects of facial plastic surgery. For this reason Dr. Farrior continues to teach courses on facial plastic surgery. As an invited guest lecturer both nationally and internationally, he remains up to date having the knowledge to recognize useful innovations over fads. In 1999, he edited and contributed a chapter to a manuscript on "Contemporary Rhinoplasty Techniques" and gave lectures on "Contemporary Techniques in Facial Plastic Surgery" and "Essentials in Facial Plastic Surgery".

Dr. Farrior returned to Tampa after attending medical school at the University of Virginia and completing his residency at the University of Michigan. Advanced training in facial plastic surgery was obtained through a fellowship sponsored by the American Academy of Facial and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery with Dr. Richard Farrior. Dual Board Certification through the American Board of Facial and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology confirms advanced knowledge and training in facial plastic surgery.

Because of the complex anatomy of the face, head and neck and its visibility to all, Dr. Farrior chose to practice the surgical specialty of Facial Plastic Surgery, including cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
